I have been thinking a lot about freedom since taking this shot in charming Peggy’s Cove last weekend. Clearly, having a boat to either fish with or tool about in was this person’s idea of freedom. On the bright, sunny Saturday I took this shot, my definition was equally as simple: freedom is the open road; the ability to thoroughly enjoy an adventure, either in your own back yard, or wherever your mind or means can take you. I’m sure there is a song that says freedom is also a state of mind. It can be as deep and “dear” as Ghandi’s “breath of life” but also as simple as Robert Frost’s belief that “you have freedom when you are easy in your harness.” What does freedom mean to you?
